code of conduct

At Moto Federation Garage, your safety is our most important priority. Working on motorcycles can be challenging, rewarding, and fun, but it can also be dangerous. Please read and observe the following safety rules. We all love riding, but nobody likes riding to the hospital.

SHOP RULES:
1.    Be cool. We're all here for the same thing, bikes.

2.   Before you leave:

  • Put the tools Away, so they can found them next time.

  • Get your bike off the lift/stand and back into the staging area.

  • Throw away your trash.

  • Return tools that have been checked out.

  • Leave the station cleaner than when you arrived.

3. Let us know when you have used the last of a consumable product so we can order more.

4. No smoking or vaping in the shop or lounge. Smoking is only permitted outside in the designated area.

5. No personal radios. Earbuds or headphones are fine. The shop radio will play a variety of music. Let us know some of your favorite artists and we'll add them to the playlist.

6. Step aside for a phone call. Just like at the gym, we don't need to hear your conversations about dinner plans. If your call isn't about your repair, kindly move to the hallway or an area in the shop as to not bother others.

7. No politics. Talk about your bike instead, that's much more interesting and why we're all here anyway. See Rule #1.

8. Don't ask for autographs or selfies. At times, you'll likely see known athletes, t.v., and entertainment personalities here working on their bikes. They're here for the same reason you are: bikes. They appreciate being treated like just like a regular Joe or Ja'Marr. Again, be cool.

9. Please clean excess mud/dirt/debris from your bike before bringing it to Moto Federation. Use the detail bay if you need to. It keeps our shop clean and your repairs easy!

  • Do not use the detail bay to degrease or clean parts. The detail bay is a beauty parlor for your bike, not a decontamination station.

10. Never use a machine or piece of equipment if you are NOT trained on it. Always get training before operating any machinery.

  • You must attend general safety training and specific training on the machine you intend to use. If you are unfamiliar with a particular tool or instrument, do not use it until you are properly trained on its usage.

15. Exercise common sense and clarify before starting work. Make sure you understand the scope of your project the tools needed and about how long the project will take.

16. Never remove safety guards - they are present for reason you must ensure that safety guards are in place on moving parts before

you start working.

17. Never use gloves while using rotating equipment - remove them before starting work. Gloves can get entangled in rotating machine parts resulting in serious injuries.

18. Never leave broken or damaged tools or abnormal equipment unreported - Always inform us to remove that from service and get it repaired. Broken parts or equipment can result in serious injuries and delays.
